Free Virtual Phone Number FAQ
Quick answers about the free public number and temp phone numbers.
Is the free virtual phone number really free?
Yes. Viewing the public test number and its inbox costs nothing and needs no account. The number is shared by every visitor and is meant for testing only.
Why is no free number showing right now?
Free public numbers are limited and rotate. When none is live, this page says so instead of showing an old number. A private number is always available from your account.
What is a temp phone number?
A temp (temporary) phone number is a virtual number that receives SMS for a short time, from a single verification up to several days. When it expires the number is released.
Can I use the free number for WhatsApp, Telegram or my bank?
No. Everyone can read the messages sent to a public number, so never use it for personal, private, financial or sensitive accounts. Many services also block shared public numbers.
How do I receive SMS online privately?
Create a free account, add funds, choose a country and a service, and buy a private number. Only your account can see the codes sent to it.
